About Us
Award winning Marvac Scientific Manufacturing Company specializes in the design and production of high-quality cooling system service tools for consumer vehicles and commercial trucks. Our product line includes: pressure tester kits, cooling system re-fillers, coolant retainers, and an extensive line of adapters for both the cooling system and the cooling system cap. These tools are available exclusively through major mobile tool distributors.
Based in Concord, California, Marvac employs mechanical engineers, office staff, and manufacturing associates. Our facility includes office space, a machine shop, and a warehouse facility where our products are assembled and shipped.
Our History
Founded in 1959 by Silviano Marin, Marvac Scientific began designing and manufacturing vacuum pumps in Berkeley, California. Not long after the company was formed, Silviano’s brother George began working at Marvac. George eventually began managing the company operations, acting as President. Marvac had great success with vacuum pumps, but changed its course in the 1990’s and began offering cooling system tools as its main product category. Although our founders are no longer with us, Marvac continues as a family run business with the 3rd generation taking on more responsibility as they prepare to take the helm.
Technology & Innovation
At Marvac we pride ourselves in the implementation of modeling tools that allow our products to be fine-tuned and highly detailed. Many similar, long-standing manufacturing companies have not adopted this technology that rapidly speeds up the development of a new product and allows for the engineer/designer to see potential clashes and conflicts.
We also pride ourselves in the vision of our product designers. Creativity is one of the most overlooked skills in world of engineering and manufacturing. We believe that innovation is what has allowed us to become so successful in improving on our tool designs.
